Campur, Guatemala Children's Home

Land has been purchased and cleared in Campur, Guatemala for a much needed Children's Home, in preparation for construction. Because of the culture there, many of the girls are not wanted by their fathers and are considered to be a burden to their families, leaving them abandoned to fend for themselves.

In November 2006, a team headed by Rev. Richard Pelley of Frontliner Missions went down to Campur to meet with an architect for the purpose of drawing up plans for the project.

We hope and plan to continue to support this building fund to help provide a safe home for these abandoned children in South America.

Summer 2007 Update:

We received a great newsletter from Frontlines Missions and Ministries about the progress of the "Casa Heidi" orphanage in Guatemala. They state that progress is fully underway. The walls have been finished and last week the roof was being installed. They expect completion early next year and plan for a team to go in early February for a dedication of the building and people involved. Both the Mayor of Campur and the Governor of the area have been highly supportive of this project, so they are expecting great things to happen at this home. They currently have all projected money needed for the completion of the home. We will continue to support them for furnishing and supplies when needed.
