Grace Children's Home

Located in Mumias, Kenya, this home started with a pastor and his wife taking in three orphaned children, which quickly grew to fifteen children. Mumias is a very poor area that has no electricity and water comes from a surface well by bucket.

Update

2009 end of the year newsletter: Thanks to (DHS) Kids Club (and others) the children's home has been built. Through funds you have given, they were able to dig a well to have better water. Thank you! (see letter sent by the children on the home page).

They have set goals for 2010 for the following: Electricity to run the house, plaster for the walls and tables and chairs for the children to use for study time.

Update: December 2009:

The number of orphans here have now increased from 15 to 21 and the new buildings are almost completed, allowing the growing number of children to no longer have to sleep in a crowded, mud hut!

Update: October 2009:

Pictures of the cow purchased with donations made to Grace Children's Home.
